Yesterday was the Fresh Expressions National Pilgrimage, which was about "forming fresh expressions of the church in a sacramental and contemplative tradition", as well as the feast of the conception of the BVM. Conveniently, it was held at Coventry Cathedral, so I thought I'd go along. I wasn't really quite sure what to expect...

So, what happened? ) As I turned to leave, I looked back and the entire void of the cathedral was filled with incense smoke - that should surely happen more often! :-)

I've been meaning to write about the places we've been to worship in Coventry. It's a fairly short list so far, as we've not exactly had many Sunday mornings here yet without vistors to attend to or suchlike.

The Collegiate and Parish Church of St John the Baptist )

The Missionary Parish of Tile Hill St Oswald )

Still to consider are St Mary Madgalene, and the Cathedral itself.

Tommorow (Wednesday June 29) is the Feast of St Peter. Little St Mary's will be having a sung mass at 7pm, to the setting of the first prayer book of Edward VI (of 1549[1]), with music by Tye, Wylkynson and Byrd performed by the Cambridge Voices.

Do come along :)
